We wish to remind you not to get sucked into hopelessness and helplessness. It always seems as if the world’s problems are too massive and too far away to fix, help or heal.
Start where you are. Start with the ones that are closest to you. Start with what speaks to your heart. Start with what you have the resources to handle. Start with the ones that speak to your strengths, gifts and talents.
If everyone did this, the world would have no problems. If everyone would give of themselves where they are, with the resources they have, using their own strengths and gifts, every world problem would be solved, and every question would be answered.
You are not being asked to take on the whole world. You are not being asked to bite off more than you can chew. You are not being asked to solve the unsolvable. You are not asked to give more than you have. You do not have to go further than your own backyard. You do not have to change the world, but only your tiny sliver of it.
Don’t start with the complicated. Start with the simple thing. Don’t start far away, start here. Start with the closest thing. Start with what inspires you. Start with the thing that lights you up the most.
Do not wait to get started.
