Chronic pain plays havoc with dreams. since I have had (5 failed) back surgeries my dreams are insane. Sleep medication just makes it worse. I am always stuck in a laying down position and can't get up. Fighting it in my dream, I have thrown myself out of bed and split my eye and head open. Days are longer when you dread sleep knowing you will get no release or rest.
