The Holistic Mystical Indigo Earth Steward

When I first learned about the concept of Indigo children, I was very intrigued and fascinated and then I listened to my favorite author, Doreen Virtue, talk about Indigo children on her radio show.  I also read about Indigo children in her book, The Care and Feeding of Indigo Childrenir?t=bcp11wh33 20&l=am2&o=1&a=1561708461.  I read the list of the characteristics and I was amazed that I resonated with each one.  At the age of 10, I was already thinking for myself and I began to question everything.  One afternoon, at age 13, while I was reading, I innocently asked my Mother why all adults wear clothes to work.  She looked at me with astonishment and then when she realized I was genuinely curious, she told me it’s the law that people have to wear clothing and everyone knows you have to be dressed to go to work.  I shrugged my shoulders and scoffed, finding it strange, but I accepted it and continued reading.

Then, that same afternoon, my Mother surprised me and smiled and watched me as I read a book. I looked up at her, feeling startled, and aware that she was watching me. I asked her if something was wrong and she said to me, “I just realized something interesting about you.”  I put my book down and gave her my full attention. “Yes, Mom, what is it?”  She took a deep breath and said, “you are a very unusual combination.  You are a grown older woman stuck inside a little young girl’s body.  You are wise beyond your years and you are very intelligent and wise and strong minded and strong willed and you aren’t even 18 years of age.”  And then, she laughed and said, “to be honest, I’m not sure what I’m going to do about you. You are an adorable, sweet, beautiful little girl with a very good head on your shoulders, but I’m overwhelmed by your intelligence and imagination.”  I smiled and took a deep breath and laughed and I said, “Mom, sorry it’s weird for you and I don’t want to scare you, but you are right there and this is why I’m having a very difficult time in my life right now and none of the kids in my school, including my friends, understand me.  I’m a loner.  I’m very lonely and no one can relate to me and I am not able to relate to them.”   I started to cry and my Mother hugged me gently and lovingly and we just hugged silently for a while without saying anything.

It’s very painful for me to write this because my beloved Mother was my best friend when I was a young girl and she died three years ago and I love and miss her very much. She was a really wonderful groovy lady and Mother and she was very cool.  She always encouraged me to think for myself and make my own choices that made me happy.  Sadly, she and her Mother, my Grandmother, who died 15 years ago, did not agree on this issue.  One afternoon, they both took me to see a wonderful movie, that today, is one of my favorite movies, Dead Poets Society, and the late beloved Robin Williams was wonderful and brilliant in this movie.  I’ve never seen another movie like it.  When the movie finished and the three of us walked outside, my Grandmother said, “I did not like that movie one bit.”  I stopped walking and turned around to look at her and asked, “really, why not, Grandma?” She said in a very arrogant self-righteous judgmental all knowing way, “those children are too young to be forming any opinions or ideas of their own and it is very inappropriate to encourage them to do so.  They need to wait until they are adults to think for themselves.”

At first, I was very upset and annoyed by her response, but I learned to accept and live with it and as I grew older, I learned that she was in good company.  Most of the adults in our family agreed with her and I only felt comfortable talking with three or four adults who agreed with me.  This is a big reason why much of my childhood was very lonely.  Fast forward 20 years into the future, I met my dear wonderful husband who is my best friend and he too is an Indigo. He is five years older than I am and we are totally on the same page.  The most important thing I learned about being an Indigo is that I’m very intuitive, very sensitive, and I’m an empath.  This is not an easy combination to live with in such a fast paced stressful technologically complicated world that is run by ego-driven arrogant humans.

I admit, I have an ego like all humans, but the difference between me and them is that I live outside the Matrix and I don’t follow a traditional Western lifestyle. I meditate, I am completely 100% holistic, organic, vegan, and I treat my body mind and Spirit as a temple with tender loving self-care.  I am clean and sober and caffeine-free and thankful. I’m not bragging. I’m simply expressing who I am as a human being and that I refuse to follow the same self-destructive path that most Westerners are following.  I’ve been a nature and animal lover since I was a very young girl and I love both even more so today as a grown woman.  Nature is my healer and animals are my best friends.

We Indigo Spirits Souls are very special and we each came to the earth plane for different specific reasons.  We each have a different life purpose to fulfill and therefore, we each make individual lifestyle choices and take different paths. The one thing that connects us all is that we are on the same page.  We are all sensitive, wise, independent free thinkers and we question everything.  We are truth tellers and are very honest and we are truth seekers.  We can discern between truth and fiction.  As long as the toxic matrix works over-time to create confusion and manipulate the sheeple with its lies and propaganda deception, we Indigos need to go the extra mile, make extra effort to take extra loving gentle self-care of our bodies, minds, and Spirits.  While we live here on earth, we have inherited the responsibility of being earth stewards and that is all encompassing.  The animals are our friends and are not here to be our food and that includes their milk.  Mother Nature provides a beautiful abundance of plant foods to enjoy eating for nourishment, strength, energy, and feel good self-care, The air we breathe and the water we drink is here to keep us healthy and alive.  The earth has been entrusted to us so it is our responsibility to make healthy wise choices that keep our carbon footprint very small.  Karmically, we Indigos are here to demonstrate peace and love with our daily actions and the choices we make.  We must vote with our wallets.  The multi nationals don’t need our money.  The companies that care about the planet, humanity, and the animals genuinely care about their clients and their customers and they are the businesses that need our money and support.

I am here to express love and peace and kindness.  I believe that the best way to show compassion is to step lightly on the earth, treat our fellow human beings with kindness and respect, and treat our animal friends with equal love and respect.
