Is Our DNA Evolving Or Has The Aging Process Changed – Or Just Our Perception Of It?
Has our DNA evolved and are we receiving DNA upgrades? Are people aging differently or has our perception of aging changed?
Aging is often seen as an inevitable decline, something we all must go through. However, from a metaphysical perspective, some believe that aging is not just about biological changes, but also how we perceive it. Could it be that our DNA is evolving, helping people look and feel younger for longer? Many believe that as human consciousness expands, our bodies may be transforming as well, slowing down the aging process. This shift in how we view aging may be just as significant as the changes in our physical bodies themselves.
Remember Mr Coffee?
Does anyone else remember this? In 1974, 59 year old New York Yankees baseball legend, Joe DiMaggio, starred in a series of commercials for Mr. Coffee.
I was 14 at the time, and to me, DiMaggio seemed very typical of old age—a figure of the past. Yet, looking back, we can see that Joe, though older, was not particularly old by today’s standards.
What we once considered “elderly” is now viewed as active and youthful. Fast forward to today, and individuals in their 50s and 60s are often in peak physical condition, continuing careers, traveling, and leading vibrant lives.
Is it really happening or just how we remember it?
When we look back at our parent’s friends, didn’t they seem really old as well? As in much older than their biological ages? Or was it simply our perception of older people when we were younger.
The following picture is of my grandfathers, my sisters and me. I photoshopped myself into the picture because at the time, I was the same age as my grandfathers. That would make us all in our early 60s.
Is our DNA upgrading?
From a metaphysical perspective, aging is not just a biological process; it’s a transformation that goes beyond physical changes to include shifts in consciousness and spiritual awareness. Is our DNA upgrading and evolving in response to this expanded consciousness, allowing people to live longer, healthier lives and slowing the visible signs of aging?
This could be related to increased alignment with higher frequencies and the body’s adaptation to these new energetic states. For example, individuals often report feeling younger and more vital as their spiritual practices and energy work deepen. This theory aligns with the concept of epigenetics, which suggests that environmental factors like stress, diet, and thoughts can influence gene expression and potentially reverse aging effects.
Gregg Braden and epigenetics
Gregg Braden’s research focuses on how our thoughts and emotions influence our DNA and health through epigenetics. Epigenetics is the study of how our environment, behaviors, and beliefs can turn genes on or off, without changing the genetic code itself. Braden believes that our thoughts, feelings, and spiritual awareness can impact our biological makeup, potentially slowing aging and improving overall health. As we evolve spiritually and raise our consciousness, our bodies may adapt, leading to greater vitality and longevity. This is similar with the work of other researchers, such as Dr. Bruce Lipton, who has studied the power of beliefs in shaping our genetic expression. Through his books and teachings, Braden highlights how we have the ability to influence our DNA, using consciousness to enhance our lives.
Other people’s experiences
The rise of individuals like Tom Brady, who maintains peak physical condition at 47, and Ernestine Shepherd, who became a world-record-holding bodybuilder at 71, shows how aging is evolving. People today not only feel younger but often look younger than previous generations at the same age. This shift suggests that our DNA may be undergoing upgrades, allowing us to age more slowly and maintain youthful vitality longer.
My own transformation
I was curious about the progression of my hair styles throughout the years and made a compilation of what it looked like from 2010 (age 50) through 2022 (age 62).

Something is happening. Something is changing within us. This doesn’t mean we are bypassing the aging process, but it seems we are delaying it significantly.
As human consciousness evolves, these upgrades in our genetic code align with a broader transformation in our physical makeup. Advances in healthcare, fitness, and nutrition support this, but the underlying change may stem from these biological enhancements. With these shifts, many believe the future will continue to redefine aging, enabling us to lead vibrant and energetic lives far beyond what was once thought possible.
