Messages From Above – Your Spiritual Spark

If you could talk to a loved one on the other side of the veil, what would you ask them?

In the weeks after my daughter Christina passed, I continued to communicate daily with her telepathically in my head.  I wondered if it was just me holding the conversation but there were so many times the answers were beyond my understanding or had her humor behind it. Sometimes, I would ask for a sign and she would send me one that very moment.

Although I treasured every moment that I conversed with her, I knew that I wanted more. I wanted to be able to see her as well. I started out through meditation and by trying to visualize her. At first, she was unclear, transparent, and would fade in and out as my attention span waned (yes, I am a “look, squirrel!” person). But now, I am able to see her in her form. When I call to her, I can now see her as she speaks to me, albeit still ‘in my head’.

When I am with her sister, it touches my heart that Christina is always standing with her, her protector.

We have had many conversations on what she does when we sleep, and what it is like where she is. She says that she travels while we sleep as she has much to explore in her new world. She refers to something called “the edge” that she has found.  She stated that it is a place of tranquility and beauty and that one night, in my dreams, she will take me there.

I have asked her, “How does someone who has passed on to the other side help others as a spirit guide?”

She said that she is able to guide others to the path they need to be on.

I told her I need the ‘spirit guide 101’ answer, and she laughs and says that it is when you have a gut feeling to take a different road, stop somewhere, or meet a person who you feel you have known forever. These changes in our paths lead us to meeting someone we need to meet, avoiding a path to protect us, or even to open us up to new experiences that we need to have to grow spiritually.

Christina went on to say that there are also people around us that are not of our world. We interact with them on a human level that helps lead us where we need to go.

She is so passionate when she speaks about helping others on their path but said there is so much more for her to learn about her abilities and the others around her. It is difficult for her to stop to learn since she loves using the gifts she has learned so far, but knows there will come a time that it will be important. The learning will take place at what she refers to as “the collective”: the place she goes to recollect or re-balance. I ask her if it is like the recharging station at the laser tag place we went so many times to when she was young, and she rolls her eyes at me and laughs.

It is amazing what you can attain through meditation, visualization, and practice, practice, practice! I remember when I was able to first see auras, I had to really work at seeing them as I was distracted by movement and surroundings. The more that I used the gift, the easier it began and I was able to teach others to see them.

Yes, this is my journey, a mother’s journey of loss and I just ask each of you to find that spiritual spark that is in each and every one of us… to open your minds and your hearts to experiences that are beyond what we know. There is so much each of us are able to do, to learn, to experience.
