This Full Moon becomes exact on Thursday, June 24 at 2:39 PM New York time (18:39 GMT).

As a reminder, a Super Full Moon (or ‘SuperMoon’ for short) occurs when the moon is physically closer to the Earth than usual, thus amplifying its effects.

We now find ourselves on the other side of Eclipse Season, ready to move forward with the new codes that were downloaded during that time. This first lunation following Eclipse Season is a grounded, practical, and optimistic Full Moon in Capricorn.

Capricorn is represented by The Goat. It is a cardinal earth sign, ruled by Saturn, embodying hard work, determination, practicality, and long-term investment. After the very airy and whimsical Gemini New Moon and Solar Eclipse a fortnight ago, we now find ourselves under the influence of a very grounded, long-term-minded Capricorn Full Moon.

Optimism abounds right now, as this Full Moon sextiles an exalted, extra-lucky Jupiter, which also trines the sun. Jupiter, currently speeding up and traveling Retrograde in dreamy Pisces (it is exalted, having just come off of its station phase), is the planet of expansion; anything it affects turns to gold, so to speak. With the auspicious sextile and trine in this Full Moon chart, we can look forward to whatever we are dreaming of as far as long-term goals coming true.

Think about your long-term aspirations around this SuperMoon. If you could write the screenplay of your life and have it manifest exactly how you desire it to, how would you write it? We also have an exalted, stationing Neptune in its home sign of Pisces right now. Neptune’s amplified influence encourages us to dream big—and the Capricorn moon will help us to ground those big dreams into reality in a practical, doable fashion.

Here are some journal prompts to get you thinking about your long-term future on this SuperMoon. With Mercury currently exalted (it is just starting to come out of its Station phase, traveling Direct in its home sign of Gemini), it is the perfect time to write things out and make lists:

  • If I could dream up any future for myself and it would definitely come true, what kind of future would I dream up? What would it look like? What would it feel like? How would I feel on a day-to-day basis? What would I be proud of?
  • Do I tend to think long-term about things or do I tend to be shortsighted?
  • What types of things could I set into motion now that might set me up for long-term wealth, success, health, happiness, and fulfillment?
  • What actions, routines, and projects that would give me a better chance at long-term health, wealth and success have I been neglecting lately? What short-term high-dopamine activities could I reduce (or do away with altogether) in order to spend more time on these long-term rituals and projects?
  • Am I organized? How might being more organized give me a better chance at long-term health, wealth and success?
  • Are my days structured? How might having more structure give me a better chance at long-term health, wealth and success?
  • Do I feel like my current living environment is supporting my Highest Evolution?
  • If not, then what needs to change? Do I need to clean or reorganize? Do I need to relocate? If I do need to relocate, what type of situation could I practically afford that would give me the best chance at living a happy, healthy, successful and fulfilling life right now?
  • Do I feel like my current job or career is supporting my Highest Evolution? If not, then what might be the highest possible resolution to my career path? If it’s not logical to leave my current occupation at this time, then how can I plan to make a transition to a new career in the future? What steps can I get started with now?
  • What is my current financial situation, from a realistic and grounded standpoint? What steps do I need to take to improve my finances (e.g. saving more, reducing costs, attracting a higher-paying position, investing)?
  • What daily rituals would the person I want to become have?
  • Do I have a tendency to create unnecessary drama in my life? If so, then why? Does a part of me feel like there is something to gain through drama?
  • Which interpersonal relationships of mine need work (e.g. partner, family, friends, business)? How would these relationships ideally look and feel? What steps could I take to improve these relationships?
  • Do I feel like the people I spend the most time talking to are supporting my highest evolution? If not, then how might I put myself into a position where I can attract supportive people into my life?
  • What baggage am I currently carrying that has gotten too heavy for me to carry any longer?
  • What changes do I feel like my Higher Self or Soul is asking for me to make over the next year?
  • Do I feel like my daily habits are currently supporting my highest possible health and Highest Evolution overall? If not, which supportive habits might I be able to add to my daily repertoire that would put me back on my Highest Possible Path?
  • What is my body asking of me? Better nutrition? More exercise? More sleep? Better sleep? Less stress? More deep breathing? Fasting? Cleansing? Yoga? All of the above?
  • What kind of plan could I put together TODAY to give my body just what it needs to heal, grow and flourish over the next year (and beyond), regardless of what is going on in the outside world right now?

As I said, Mercury is currently exalted in its post-Retrograde Station phase; thus all the Mercury Retrograde cautions and ‘rules’ should still apply; although it’s the perfect time to think long-term, it’s wise to wait another week before moving ahead with any big actions that will affect your long-term (e.g. buying a car or house or signing a new contract at work).

THIS FULL MOON INVITES YOU TO COMMIT TO NEW, SUPPORTIVE RITUALS

Aristotle didn’t actually say “You are what you repeatedly do,” but irregardless of the fact that this famous quote has been misattributed, it is still a wonderful piece of wisdom! If you want to make long lasting changes in your life, it requires repetition.

Here’s why: the subconscious mind actually manifests 95% of your reality. This part of your mind is formed pretty much completely between the ages of 0 and 7, when our brains are predominately in a Theta wave state. The thoughts and beliefs of our parents, caregivers, and even the media end up forming the template of our subconscious mind.

If we don’t do the healing work, this subconscious mind will continue to manifest the same sorts of problems and frustrations for us over and over again. Only 5% of our thoughts come from the input of the conscious mind, so that’s why making lasting changes in your life requires a lot of deliberate repetition.

Around this Capricorn SuperMoon, it is natural to become more aware of which sorts of activities and addictions that have become a normal part of your life are slowing you down and holding you back. Once you’ve identified those daily activities that aren’t supporting your highest evolution, the next step is to of course figure out which new rituals you can implement that will allow you to shift those hardened subconscious patterns that control 95% of your life.

One of the commonly overlooked principles of co-creation is that a small input repeated can create a very large output. Meaning, it only takes a few minutes per day of a new supportive ritual in order to make a significant change in your life. Just a few minutes of meditation per day, for example, can cause a wonderful improvement to your health and well-being.

Here are some ideas for supportive daily rituals:

  • Meditating/visualizing first thing in the morning prior to checking your phone
  • Setting daily morning intentions
  • Drawing a daily tarot or oracle card
  • Daily exercise
  • Dry brushing
  • Rebounding
  • Grounding exercises
  • Yoga or tai chi
  • Gratitude journal
  • Journaling your thoughts before bed
  • A daily artistic practice (e.g. drawing or creative writing)

SUN ENTERS CANCER

The sun also moved into the sign of Cancer on Sunday’s Solstice. Cancer is the cardinal water sign of the Zodiac. It is ruled by the moon, which is the overseer of the emotional body. During Cancer season we tend to feel very emotional; we can cry at the drop of a hat. Interest grows in the feminine aspects of life. We feel a great call to enjoy the outdoors, to hug, to have alone time, to meditate, and to connect with our family of origin.

We may desire more alone time during Cancer season, as Cancer is the crab, which often likes to stay in its shell and take refuge from the outside world. Honor that desire when it comes up, and allow yourself to retreat from the world.

Swimming in lakes, ponds, rivers, and the ocean is a great idea during Cancer season, as it connects you physically and energetically with the water element. Make sure you’re staying extra hydrated, too, especially when the inevitable heat waves hit.

We are likely to feel more connected with our pets and the Animal Kingdom during this time. Our pets don’t speak English, but they feel our emotions, and we can feel theirs. Personally, nothing makes me feel better when I feel emotional, frustrated, or lonely than hugging my dog.

This Cancer season is also a deeply intuitive time, especially with Neptune’s exalted influence. Your psychic senses will be on point, and there is a sense of a thinning of the veils. Intuitive guidance may come to you naturally even if you feel like you have struggled receiving guidance before.

OVERCOMING OBSTACLES BY ACCESSING THE SPIRITUAL WARRIOR WITHIN

Capricorn brings a very masculine energy (‘the Father’ energy) with it, providing a balancing force to the feminine, nurturing moon energy of Cancer.

The Spiritual Warrior is an archetype that we all carry within. We have all had moments of courage in this lifetime; and in other lifetimes, we have all played characters who were extremely courageous in certain moments of those specific incarnations.

Your soul has played a character that saved someone else’s life; your soul has also possibly even played a character that sacrificed his or her life to save someone else. Your soul has played characters who took huge risks in life that paid off handsomely. Your soul has played characters that overcame incredible obstacles to achieve amazing things or to garner some invaluable wisdom.

The essence of the Spiritual Warrior is within you. Whatever obstacles are present in your reality right now are there for you either to overcome, or to surrender to and gain invaluable wisdom from.

Regardless of what is meant to happen, it is the Spiritual Warrior within that will be the part of you that will figure out exactly what you’re meant to figure out.

Here are some questions to ask yourself or journal on to help you anchor in this wisdom:

  • If I had to guess, what is life asking for me to learn from my current obstacles? Which virtues am I learning from my current difficulties?
  • How am I being shaped and formed into a new person through these difficulties?
  • How might the new person I am being molded into be actually more readily able to accept and maintain an even better life than I am living now?
  • Is it possible that my current difficulties are teaching me wisdom that I may be able to teach others now or in the future?
  • How can I start teaching others what I have already learned, if I am not doing so already? (This can happen in little ways, like reminding someone to love themselves.)

FASCINATING T-SQUARE

We have a very interesting T-square in this Full Moon chart between three sometimes stubborn planets. Uranus in its home sign of Taurus is the nub; it squares a Retrograde Saturn in Aquarius on one side and Mars in Leo on the other side.

Saturn is the planet of restriction and long-term commitments and consquences; Uranus is the planet of freedom, spontaneity, change and unscheduled disruptions; while Mars is the planet of action and impulse. With this aspect, we feel pulled to take chances and express our individuality through courageous action.

The Capricorn Full Moon dampers this impulsive, daring and pioneering spirit. To merge these two aspects of the chart into a healthy expression, we should be willing to take risks and express ourselves in spontaneous, fun and daring ways, however we should think of the long-term consequences first and weigh the pros and cons very logically, rather than simply acting or speaking on impulse.

The empty leg of a T-square shows us where the solution to the tension lies. In this case, the empty leg lies in Scorpio. So, we need to get really honest with ourselves and get to the bottom of what we really desire in life. Cut through all the bullshit of the distractions in your life and understand your woundings and your deepest desires. Have the courage to ask for what you want in life and go after it. Avoid doing what other people expect of you, just because they expect it of you. Do what you desire to do in your life. Be who you want to be in your life.

All in all, with Jupiter’s influence on this chart, the 28 days ahead should be super-lucky and a great time to make decisive, life-changing moves if they are honoring your deepest desires (just wait until after July 2 when Mercury’s Station fades until taking the leaps).

TENSE SATURN-URANUS SQUARE STILL ACTIVE

The second of three tense Saturn-Uranus squares throughout 2021 is still quite active (it was exact on June 14). Saturn—the ruler of Capricorn—is currently traveling Retrograde in Aquarius; Uranus is in its own sign of Taurus. This tense square can cause both outer an inner tension: in the outer world, we should be on the lookout for political disputes and economic fallouts; in the inner world, we can expect to feel a heightened sense of frustration about whatever feels ‘stuck’ in our life.

PLUTO OPPOSES VENUS: TROUBLEMAKER IN RELATIONSHIPS

Pluto opposes Venus in this chart, which could cause trouble in some romantic relationships. When Pluto opposes Venus, it can cause jealousy, manipulation, and power struggles. With Mercury now having gone direct in its home sign of Gemini, we could say that communication is the key to overcome any potential issues being caused by this opposition.

If manipulative, controlling, or jealous tendencies come out in you (perhaps unexpectedly), ask yourself which parent you are emulating? The awareness that you are repeating an ancestral pattern can help you to consciously overcome it with your willpower and step into a higher-vibrational, more spiritually mature state of being.

If manipulative, controlling, or jealous tendencies come out in your partner, then call them out on it, and take space if necessary. You will learn a lot about your partner and about the long-term viability of the relationship by how they respond to you pointing out any manipulative, controlling, or jealous behaviors that they are engaging in. Don’t be afraid to take space—and communicate from a place of emotional neutrality rather than aggression, agitation, or manipulation.

Remember, Mercury is exalted right now and you need to be extra clear in your communication. If you are on the fence about whether to continue with or to end a romantic relationship, it’s best to wait until after July 2 to make any final decisions.

Pluto opposing Venus also brings out the theme of lust. There is a very sexual energy in the air. Lust and sexual passion are perfectly normal and valid life themes to explore, however when it is not backed up by a deeper ‘soul-based’ connection, a lustful, dopamine hit-seeking exploration of sexuality can leave one feeling empty, disconnected, and depressed.

Wishing you a happy, fulfilling, peaceful and lucky SuperMoon in Capricorn!
