The Flat Earth Debate

A heated debate has stirred the internet as to whether the earth is flat or a sphere. The most noticeable thing I’m seeing out of this debate is how it is separating people through the divide and conquer premise. Some spiritual people of influence have even gone as far as name calling and unfriending those on Facebook who disagree with the “Flat Earth” theory.
I find it astounding to see the amount of time people have invested in taking a stance one way or the other. Even the writing of this article is taking me away from my true purpose for being here, but is important enough to make a one time post on how I view this issue.
Here are some things I’ve thought about regarding the flat earth issue:
- Did you ever wonder why most of the world’s highest powered telescopes are placed on top of mountains?
- I live at sea level on the Gulf Coast of Florida. If the earth was flat, then surely I’d be able to see across the Gulf of Mexico with a high powered telescope.
- Even the etymology of “horizon” (Horus rising) suggests the earth is an orb.
- When we have a crescent moon, the darkened part of the moon is the Earth’s shadow, showing roundness and curvature.
- Why do rainbows have arcs?
- Time zones don’t seem to apply to the flat earth theory
- If the Coriolis Effect gives us jetstreams, then how is it possible for weathermen to predict weather on a flat earth?
- Through ice core samples and the magnetics in lava, we know that the Earth has gone through numerous pole shifts. How can the poles shift on a flat earth?
Flat Earth proponent:
Does any of this prove that the earth is spherical or flat? Nope. If I had to lean one way or the other, I’d say it’s spherical.
I’ve listened to both sides of the argument and have decided it doesn’t matter; THE FLAT EARTH DEBATE IS JUST A DISTRACTION.’
There are a lot more important issues to address than to debate as to whether the earth is flat or round, such as what our purpose is here on this planet and what can we expect as we transition into our next level of existence. Yes, we’ve been lied to in just about every area of life, so why would the round earth theory be any different? The difference is that many of the things we’ve been lied to affect our daily lives. Whether the earth is spherical or flat doesn’t make a difference.
And no, I will not unfriend you on Facebook or call you insulting names if you believe in the flat earth theory!
When someone tells you it’s their way or no way, especially when it comes down to an unproven opinion or theory… don’t walk from them… RUN!

I’ve said this numerous times: “Once the bottom of the pyramid unites, the rest will collapse.” The flat earth issue continues to keep us separated and distracted from the important issues in life. We need to come together on common ground through LOVE and move forward as ONE.
Sending you all infinite LOVE and Light!
Gregg
