If you’re anything like me, then you probably look and feel like you’ve just pulled an all-nighter chaperoning a five year old’s sleepover birthday party. You know the look…frazzled, exhausted, and feeling too stunned to care about anything. This has been one of the most intense and challenging months in the ascension process. I even had to take a couple weeks off from my healing work while I went through September’s intense transformational energy waves. It’s only now that I am able to gather my wits and investigate what the heck just happened.

Part 1: Cause
Eclipses
We had two eclipses this month. Eclipses are very powerful catalysts for spiritual growth.
- Solar(Sept. 1): Solar eclipses herald the end of a cycle. Astrologically, this eclipse was aligned with fear and paranoia. Fortunately, it wasn’t about experiencing fear, but instead about overcoming it.
- New Moon: To add to this eclipse’s power, the Moon was in its ‘new’ cycle when it moved between the Sun and Earth. As one cycle ended, another was simultaneously born.
- Lunar (Sept. 16-17): Last month my angelic guides told me that Sept. 16th would prove significant. On that date, we experienced the energies of a lunar eclipse. Lunar eclipses affect relationships. This includes the relationship with yourself (your shadow side), along with people from your past. During this time, buried emotions are pulled to the surface for healing and release.
Mercury in Retrograde
The first three weeks of September fell under the influence of Mercury in retrograde. The planet Mercury rules communication and travel. When in retrograde, Mercury can create challenges in these areas. It also signifies coming change, even if you can’t see it. It’s a time of reflection and reassessment for those coming changes.
Three 999 Gateways
September 9, 2016 was, numerically speaking, a 9-9-9 day. So, too, were September 18 (1 + 8) and 27 (2 + 7).
- 9th month
- 9th day
- 9 year (2 + 0 + 1 + 6)
Nines are associated with endings, as in the end of a cycle that began with one (1 – 9). That means we entered a powerful time of endings, which equates to letting go of all that no longer serves our highest good. We are ending the old (old 3D polarity) to make way for the new (5D Heaven on Earth).
Autumn Equinox
The biannual equinoxes are periods of change. On Sept. 22 we, in the Northern hemisphere, shifted from summer to fall. In nature, this signifies a period of harvest, and preparation for endings (winter).
Geomagnetic Storms
The glorious aurora borealis has been lighting up the night sky near the earth’s poles thanks to G-1 class geomagnetic storms that are buffeting the planet with 700+ km winds. These space storms are producing not only spectacular light shows, but are also evoking intense ‘ascension flu’ symptoms. Yesterday (Sept. 28) was, by far, the most challenging day.
Part 2: Effect
Ascension Symptoms
Now let’s look at the symptoms to understand the effects of September’s energies.
Physical
Flu-like symptoms
- Exhaustion, Listlessness
- Pale complexion
- Dark circles under eyes
- Nausea
- Lightheadedness
- Aching neck, shoulders and general body discomfort
Insomnia
- Sleep deprivation
- Discomfort (i.e. pillow no longer feels ‘right’)
- Waking multiple times per night at key times (1 – 4 a.m.)
- Frequent urination
- Wild, vivid dreams
- Frequent subjects include reconciling with people from your past (i.e. living with your exes)
- Nightmares
- Worst case scenarios / fears playing out (i.e. death of loved one; being destitute)
- Dream recall (even for people who ordinarily don’t remember their dreams)
Head issues
- Intense headaches
- Migraines / migraine-like pain
- Crushing pressure like a constricting band around the temples and behind the eyes
- Eyelid twitches
- Dizzy spells – like your brain is sloshing from side-to-side
Heart palpitations
Mental / Emotional
Emotional roller-coaster
- Depressed emotions
- Deep sadness / crying jags
- Feeling like a part of you is dying
- Fiery, angry outbursts
- Laughing uproariously
Ego / Inner child flair-ups
- Fear / anxiety about what is happening
- Resurrection of childhood issues
Muted joy
- Lack of enjoyment while doing thing that ordinary give you pleasure
- Apathy
- Curtailed (social) activity
- Wanting to go out and do something, but finding yourself inexplicably ‘stuck’ at home
- Cancelled plans
- Running out of time to do things / feeling like time has just ‘evaporated’
- Heightened creativity
- This was the only good thing about this month. After being blocked from writing, I am now able to communicate with you again.
- Bursting with ideas and a desire to create
- Wanting to start something new (including career change)
Spiritual
Being in the Void
- Loss of extrasensory abilities
- MIA spirit guides
- Feeling alone, isolated, abandoned
Inability to self-heal / self-soothe
- Standard coping mechanisms not working
- Meditation and self-healing only pause the symptoms temporarily
Part 3: Conclusion
So, now that we know what happened, and we can see what kind of affects these shifting energies had on us, let’s examine the reason why.
Letting Go
If you stuck with me throughout this article, then you’ve probably reached the same conclusion: we are being forced to let go of everything that is not part of the newly emerging 5D paradigm. September’s energies effectively agitated out, and washed away, emotional debris in the same way as a washing machine cleanses soiled laundry. There is only so much stress the mind and body can bear before a person says, “I give up!” At that point, old unresolved ego issues come bubbling to the surface where they are washed away. It’s a tad Borg-like (“Resistance is futile.”) but very effective.
TLC
If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, and are looking for help, here are a few things I found beneficial:
- Rest
- Take time off, if possible
- Sleep whenever you can / Nap / Sleep in when possible
- Listen to your inner child
- Create
- Play
- Relax and have fun
- Be authentic:Don’t force yourself to act a certain way (i.e. happy, chipper). Cry, be sad, be angry. Just be.
- Energy Healing: Regular in-person energy treatments would be very helpful.
- Hydrate: It’s vitally important that you drink plenty of pure water due to the intense healing and shedding of emotional debris
- Rest assured: Your intuition and guides will be back. In fact, they never left. Once we move out of this void, the guidance will return.
