This intense energy feels unforgiving and will bring most of us to our knees. In what feels like suffering and also having extreme gratitude for these changes both within and without that are simultaneously occurring. When you have experienced the “Dark night of the Soul,” it’s very unsettling and painful. When the ego dies, it feels as if your “identity” also dies. Everything you believed as being true is suddenly ripped from your grasp. You can no longer hold onto the illusions. Those parts of you that have settled for this or that, can no longer do so, in satisfaction or cycles of repetition.
