Above All Else, Love Yourself

The hardest thing that any of us will ever do is to fully and completely love ourselves. I am talking about unconditional fourth chakra emerald green Love. Love as God, Source, Spirit Loves. Radiating unconditional Love for one’s self no matter what. If you can Love yourself, everything else will be easy.

So how do you do that? You can’t Love yourself completely with the monkey mind. Go ahead and try it. The mind will find flaws in your body, your actions and your thoughts. Flaws will abound where you could do this, that or the other better. The mind cannot let it be.

To find true self-Love, that fourth chakra Love, you must connect with your Higher Self. You have to create an open and ongoing communication with your True Self. It starts with meditation and going through a ritual that allows you to release your mind and connect with Spirit. With practice, that connection is made more quickly and eventually you are able to connect simply by focusing your intention. In time you will realize that the connection was always there, you were simply ignoring it.

Those that practice true self Love are fully connected to their Higher Selves and make ALL decisions through that connection. They fully trust the communication they receive and rely on that higher wisdom to guide them. For me, it is a daily struggle and I rarely keep the connection throughout the day, but I know it works!

Something as simple as what clothes to wear on any given day will prove the point. While most days it doesn’t really matter what clothes you wear, something as simple as the shirt you wear will connect in an unexpected way with something else. Happens every time I remember to be in the moment and allow Spirit to dictate. Try it for 1 week and then tell me I am wrong! If Spirit can pick the perfect shirt, just think what else it can do.

By living your life as a moving meditation, always consciously aware of your connection to your Higher Self, you are living and radiating from your fourth chakra, your heart center. It is only from that state of unconditional Love that you can fully and truly Love yourself because it is only then that you can KNOW who you truly are. You can know intellectually all day long, you can memorize any number of lists and actions that you should take, but it is only through Spirit that you KNOW the truth of your existence and therefore KNOW self-Love. No need to argue or justify anything, you simply KNOW.

So why is it important that self-Love is first on the spiritual list? Can’t I be a spiritual person and still find ways to improve myself? Of course! Self-Love is not about achieving perfection, it is about Loving yourself without judgment or criticism just as you are. Spirit is not complete without you, so be complete with yourself.

When you are in a state of self-Love, you are able to radiate that same Love to others that shows them the way. You would not learn to walk from a child that can only crawl, why would you attempt self-Love from someone that judges themselves as not complete?

Follow those that radiate self-Love, even if they have not mastered it, knowing that they, too, are growing and evolving in Spirit. KNOW that we all learn from each other, regardless of where we are on the path. We all are complete in the eyes of Spirit and we all contribute to the KNOWING and understanding of humanity as we grow and evolve.
