Holiday Full Moon In Cancer Good Fortune, The Divine Feminine

Happy Full Moon in Cancer! This Full Moon at approximately 5 degrees of Cancer became exact at 7:33 PM New York time on Boxing Day, today, Tuesday, December 26, 2023 (00:33 GMT on December 27).

This final Full Moon of 2023 is also the most fortunate of the entire year! With a stationing, exalted Jupiter sextiling the Full Moon and trining the sun in Capricorn, we are receiving a wonderful influx of lucky energy to lead us into 2024—which as a numerological 8 Year also promises good fortune and abundance.

If that’s not enough good energy for you, we’ve also got Saturn in spiritual, ethereal Pisces sextiling the sun and trining the moon, making Jupiter’s influx of prosperity an energy that can last throughout 2024 (and beyond!), while also opening the doors to experience wonderful spiritual and creative energy.

Cancer is the sign of the Divine Feminine, and the ruler of the 4th House—the House of Home. It is ruled by the moon—the celestial body that is in charge of emotions, the tides, and menses. It is a cardinal water sign, being the sign that initiates summer.

Cancer’s glyph is a crab. The crab represents the home, safety, and the womb. The crab is naturally introverted—it carries its home to retreat to–its shell–with it at all times.

During this Cancer Full Moon cycle, we strongly desire to be nurtured–and to nurture others. It is the time to connect with the feminine/lunar aspects of life in all ways, and with water.

Every Full Moon in an opposition between the sun and the moon. When the Full Moon is in Cancer or Capricorn, it is always an opportunity for us to balance the feminine and masculine aspects within, as the moon/Cancer is very feminine/yin; while Saturn/Capricorn is very masculine/yang. Cancer represents the mother, while Capricorn represents the father.

We may naturally feel more emotional during this Cancer Full Moon cycle—especially with Chiron the Wounded Healer stationing Direct on this Full Moon. As human beings, we are here to experience a whole range of emotions. All emotions are valid; it’s just that each emotion is at a different frequency. Our soul puts us here to experience the whole range of emotions here in the third dimension. Let this Full Moon serve as a reminder to honor all of your emotions—even the uncomfortable ones.

The sacral chakra is the emotional center of the Human Energy Field. With a healthy sacral chakra, you are able to both feel all emotions, as well as not let them control you.

According to science, the physiological response to any emotion lasts just 90 seconds. After that 90 second period, any experience of the emotion is predicated on the mind perpetuating the thoughts of the emotion. So while emotional repression is unhealthy in many ways—and will only cause problems in other ways—the unnecessary perpetuation of emotional experiences is also very unhealthy.

With a healthy sacral chakra, you will be able to feel all emotions that come through you, but you also won’t unnecessarily hang on to negative emotions.

CHIRON STATIONS DIRECT: FEELING TRIGGERED & INSPIRED

Chiron is a minor planet and comet that is categorized as an asteroid in astrology. It is colloquially known as ‘the Wounded Healer’, as it represents both our core wounds (that root back to childhood and other lifetimes) and our Higher Mission as healers–as souls that have come to assist the collective. In fact, it is by accessing and working with our core wounds (the Shadow comes from these core wounds) that we end up actualizing as healers.

As Chiron stations Direct, it conjuncts the North Node, which represents the soul’s destiny. On this Full Moon, we may feel both emotionally triggered—as seemingly little things could energetically cut through to these core wounds—and inspired to reach our highest potentials.

With all of this energy occurring in Aries—the fiery initiator of the Zodiac Wheel—we may feel an inner flame of frustration and anxiety about where we are at in life. Energetically, this agita is propelling us to step up into experiencing a Higher Timeline version of self—one that will naturally be experiencing more prosperity, abundance, and success—as well as a deeper sense of purpose.

MAKING 2024 YOUR MOST FORTUNATE YEAR YET

As I mentioned before, this is the most fortunate Full Moon of the year due to Jupiter’s and Saturn’s influences. Jupiter is the planet of good fortune, and when it is in earthy Taurus, the good fortune is focused mainly in the financial and material realms. It is no coincidence that the Dow Jones Industrial Average—one of the three major indices indicating the health of the United States’ stock markets—has risen over 4,500 points, and reached new all-time highs, since Jupiter entered Taurus back in May. By nearly all economic indicators, 2023 was one of the best economic years in recent memory in the U.S. (and in some other Western nations, as well).

In Pisces, Saturn’s seriousness, hardness, and coldness is warmed into a curiosity and luster for the spiritual and creative aspects of life—and since Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn and the 10th House (the House of Career/Public Image), Saturn’s being well-aspected in this final Full Moon Chart of 2023 especially bodes well for the financial prospects of those whose professions carry a strong spiritual and/or creative energy (like mine!)

If you have your sun, Ascendant, Midheaven, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, or Saturn in Taurus, Cancer, or Pisces (especially around 5-6 degrees of each sign), you should expect very good fortune in general—and especially in financial and material matters—over the next 28 days. But, since this is the Full Moon that enters us into the calendar year of 2024, you can also expect good fortune throughout the entire year of 2024!

And for everyone–regardless of what’s in your natal chart—now that you know that there is good fortune in the air, you can harness this energy to experience magic in your life over the next week, and into 2024!

2024 is an 8 Year in numerology, making it a year of growth, good fortune and abundance. Although it may also be a tumultuous and transitional year on Planet Earth, for so many people around the planet it will likely be a wonderful year of prosperity, success, and spiritual growth. If you’d like to make it that type of year for you, it all begins with a mindset.

The most important aspect of attracting prosperity, good fortune, and all good things into your experience of life is your belief that it is natural for you to receive these things.

It’s a good time around this emotional Cancer Full Moon to look within yourself and feel into the parts of self that don’t feel that sense of worthiness and flow when it comes to prosperity and good things. We are so used to pushing these Shadow parts of us away—but what would it feel like to actually acknowledge and appreciate those Shadow parts of self for showing you the way? It is the Shadow within that guides us toward the Light, toward the integration and experience of our Highest Self in form.

Here are some helpful questions to journal on to get you set up for the most fortunate possible 2024:

• Are there parts of me that don’t feel like I am deserving of good fortune, prosperity, and good things? Am I very familiar with these parts of me (almost as if they feel like home)? What would it be like to just give these parts of me more love, rather than push them away?
• In what parts or areas of my life do I already feel a sense of good fortune and prosperity? How would I describe that feeling? What if I could harness that good feeling and apply it to other parts of my life where I don’t feel as fortunate?
• How clear am I on my goals in life?
• What would my best possible, most abundant experience of 2024 look and feel like? Take some time to meditate and visualize on that!

MEDITATING ON THE DIVINE FEMININE WITHIN

We all have feminine and masculine aspects within, regardless of which sex or gender we are. As Cancer represents the feminine/yin/mother aspect, the next few weeks is a time to renegotiate our relationship with this ‘half’ of self.

Please, feel free to journal on (or just meditate on) the following questions:

• Do I allow my emotions to flow? In what ways do I block my emotions? Which emotions am I uncomfortable expressing?
• Do I feel nurtured by life? Do I feel nurtured by others? Do I feel nurtured by myself? Do I allow myself to nurture others (friends, family, partners, animals, plants)? Which parts of life allow me to feel safe and nurtured, as if I am in a womb?
• Do I feel creative? Do I allow myself space for creativity? Do I allow myself space to ‘flow’? Which activities help me step into that flow?
• Do I allow my intuition to come through? Which activities allow my right brain/creative side to come through?
• What is my connection with water? How do I connect with water?
• What is my relationship with my mother(s) (biological, step, foster, etc.)? What healing is still left to be done? What is the first step toward that healing?
• This Cancer Full Moon is a great time to ask yourself the question, what does home mean for me?

WHAT DOES HOME MEAN FOR YOU?

Cancer, which is the fourth sign of the Zodiac Wheel (and also the ruler of the Fourth House), is associated with the home—including your living environment, the people you live with, and your family of origin. Four is the number of the home, in numerology. We feel a natural call during the Cancer Full Moon cycle to come home in all ways that that may be.

Some people may feel called to travel to or reconnect with their family of origin. Some may put effort into improving the look and feel of their physical home. Others may go camping or hiking in the woods in order to re-establish the feeling of being home with Mother Earth. Or you might find yourself doing all three!

Ask yourself: is your current home environment providing you what you need to grow and expand? (Or is it holding you back?) Are the people you are spending the most time with supporting your highest evolution? (Or are they holding you back?)

If you don’t feel like your current home environment is providing you with what you need to grow, then what kind of home environment do you really desire? Who is there with you in this ideally (or are you alone)? What does the scenery look like? How does it feel?

Journal on what your perfect home would look like, if you feel called to.

Home also has to do with the home that is your body and mind. What would it feel like to surrender completely to the experiencing of being in your body, even if you are in chronic physical discomfort like so many Lightworkers are on this journey?

What would it feel like if your mind was a source of comfort and peace rather than distraction, worry or confusion? How could you do a better job of making yourself feel safe regardless of what is going on in the outside world?

Take whatever steps you can over the next 28 days to bring greater balance to your body, and to make mental peace and clarity a priority. Meditation, breathwork, yoga, tai chi, tapping (Emotional Freedom Technique), and nature walks/swims are all really good ways to give your nervous system a feeling of safety.

The right supplements and nutrition for the brain are crucial if you are not experiencing peace in the mind, however, meditation is truly irreplaceable. It would be of tremendous benefit to all Lightworkers to incorporate at least five minutes of daily meditation into their routines (ideally more!). The meditation can be any type you’d like—simply deep breathing, doing a visualization, meditating on a candle, etc.

MERCURY RETROGRADE TAKES A CREATIVE, FLIRTATIOUS, DREAMY TURN

A still-Retrograde Mercury has re-entered fiery Sagittarius, joining Mars–turning our attention from resolving financial and practical matters left over from the past to being nostalgic about past adventures and romances, and wanting to adventure and travel (and to plan out adventure and travel!)

On this Full Moon, Mercury and Mars square an exalted Neptune in Pisces, making us want to flirt with old (and new) flames, and have fun exploring fantasy worlds in movies, television, books, and our own dream worlds at night.
