Libra Solar Eclipse Transformation; War

Happy Solar Eclipse and New Moon in Libra! The Solar Eclipse begins today, October 14, 2023, at 11:03 AM New York time (15:03 GMT), reaches its apex at 1:59 PM EDT (17:59 GMT), and concludes at 4:55 PM PM EDT (20:55 GMT). The New Moon, at approximately 21 degrees of Libra, becomes exact at 1:55 PM EDT (17:55 GMT).

This is a Solar Eclipse–as Solar Eclipses always coincide with New Moons. This Solar Eclipse is fully visible in the contiguous U.S. states and Canada. Remember to wear ISO approved Eclipse Glasses! It is known as an annular eclipse, as the moon doesn’t cover the sun in totality—rather, it forms a ‘ring of fire’ at its apex.

Every time we have a New Moon, it initiates a new cycle; we could say that it sets the stage energetically for the next 28 days. A Solar Eclipse is like a supercharged New Moon—it sets the stage for the next 6 months. It’s a good idea to set intentions for the next 6 months, a few days after the Eclipse has passed.

During Eclipse Season, we receive energetic downloads (we could call these codes) that serve to unravel what we no longer need to carry with us, while also redirecting us in the direction of our Highest Destiny in this life.

Eclipse Season is an unsettled time when everything is undergoing recalibration. It is an uncertain time and it is certainly a time to expect the unexpected.
This is a South Node Eclipse, occurring on the South Lunar Node. South Node Eclipses have to do with alchemizing the karma and energetic baggage that we are carrying, so that we can move forward freely into our Highest Destiny here on Earth.

Often, the codes that are downloaded to us during a South Node Eclipse end up initiating the necessary changes that we need in order to be energetically free to move into that Highest Destiny. Since Libra, being the ruler of the 7th House, has to do with relationships—including partnerships—the codes downloaded now can end up initiating changes in how our most important relationships fit into our lives .

Libra is the cardinal air sign. A cardinal sign signals the beginning of a season! Libra is in charge of welcoming in autumn in the Northern Hemisphere and spring in the Southern Hemisphere. As tropical astrology was created to align the signs with the Northern Hemisphere seasons, it makes sense that fall is ruled by an air sign, with the leaves flying through the air and the wind blowing, foretelling the return of winter.

Libra is a cardinal air sign that is represented by the glyph of scales, demonstrating the need for balance and harmony as one of the irreplaceable facets of a healthy life. Libra is also the sign of justice, ruling over all things related to justice, fairness, and the law. Libra is ruled by Venus, the planet of love and relationships.

The themes of justice and fairness are certainly clearly in view now, with both sides committing atrocities in the ugly and tragic Arab-Israeli conflict. The conflict is coinciding with Pluto’s Station Direct Phase. More on that later in this article, but Pluto’s exalted influence can lead to destruction, war, tragedies, scandals, and power battles.

The New Moon also quincunxes the Retrograde Uranus, setting the stage energetically for war and revolutions on a world scale as well. Groups of people are feeling hypernationalistic.

On an individual level, this aspect, coinciding with the Eclipse, makes us want to break free from any chains that are tying us down or holding us back–and express ourselves authentically.

Mercury, which is very close to the sun and moon, also opposes the Retrograde Chiron in aggressive Aries, making people emotional and even angry. With Pluto exalted, people are speaking their truths. All of this together creates a strong clearing-the-throat-chakra type energy.

During Libra season, we have the opportunity to create balance and harmony in all areas of life. It is also the perfect time to make amends where amends need to be made.

The sun and moon conjunct Mercury, so the key to alchemizing relationships is honest and thoughtful communication. Be a good listener, and hear people out. When someone feels heard, they are much more likely to actually hear you out. Emotions are naturally running high at this time, but if people can think and speak rationally at this time, the balance and harmony that Libra represents can be found.

Mars has just entered passionate and honest Scorpio. It trines the Retrograde Saturn (in Pisces) on this New Moon, giving us the opportunity to create long-lasting harmony in relationships (and even in businesses, organizations, and other groups). Mars in Scorpio is also making people want to spend energy investigating matters, and finding out the truth; also it makes people lustful.

I’ll spend some time later in this article discussing both family and romantic relationship dynamics from a soul level, as this is a very Libra topic. But first, more on Pluto.

PLUTO STATIONS DIRECT: CHAOS, CHANGES, TRUTHS REVEALED, TRANSFORMATION

As I mentioned before, Pluto is currently stationed, having just concluded its Retrograde journey though Capricorn. When a planet is stationed, its influence is amplified (the term in astrology is exalted). For all intents and purposes, it will resume Direct Motion on October 16.

Pluto, the ruler of Scorpio, could be said to be the most ‘heavyweight’ planet in astrology. It creates massive transformation, especially on a world scale (as the outer planets affect the world ‘out there’ more than the individual). Right now, with its influence being extreme (coinciding with an Eclipse Season, too), it is causing chaos and destruction on the world stage—clearly exhibited in the tragic Arab-Israeli conflict.

Pluto rules over the theme of power. With Pluto’s exaltation, some people and groups will be apt to try to take power over one another at all costs (see: the Arab-Israeli conflict).

Pluto’s influence brings ugly truths to the surface. Major scandals have been abound in the news recently, and more will likely come to the surface soon (I wouldn’t be surprised to see some more UFO disclosure from governments soon, on top of more stories of corruption by those in power).

On an individual level, ponder how the theme of power expresses itself in your personal experience. Many Lightworkers are empaths who struggle to stand up for themselves, or often find themselves in victim-mode. Some Lightworkers still also struggle in trying to unnecessarily maintain control over situations or people.

Pluto’s exaltation makes us want to dig into situations and discover truths about things that have an effect on us—or to just discover truths about what’s going on in the world, or life in general. Pluto’s exaltation also makes us feel more sexual and lustful.

Pluto is the ruler of the Death Card (XIII) in the Major Arcana of the tarot. The Death card represents fundamental change and transformation. On a world scale, Plutonian battles over power are taking place at the Holy Land, a fundamental place of importance for humanity.

War is of course always profitable for some in power and in certain pockets of capitalism, but anything that occurs in the world is also in one sense a litmus test of where we are at as a world.

In one sense, Pluto is illuminating how deeply entrenched humanity still is in separation consciousness. The planetary Ascension is still quite young yet—and it’s likely we will see many more wars break out over the next decade.

On an individual scale, think about what in your life needs to fundamentally shift, like the Death card in the tarot illustrates? Is it a relationship? A job? A living situation? Your health? Your mindset? An addiction?

Whatever it is, it’s likely coming to the surface clearly now so that you can see it. As Pluto starts to move back to normal speed over the coming weeks and we get through Eclipse Season, think in terms of what steps you can take to bust through whatever fundamental obstacles you are facing.

As Pluto picks up speed and heads back toward the final degree of Capricorn over the next few months, be on the lookout for potential important economic news. Pluto began its foray into Capricorn with the 2008 Global Recession, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see another recession of some sort as Pluto exits Capricorn.

When Pluto dipped its toes into Aquarius earlier this year, we saw a massive increase in interest in Artificial Intelligence technologies. The main marker of Pluto in Aquarius will be a technological revolution the likes of with few could even dream of at this point in time. Life over the next decade will likely start to look drastically different, especially in Western countries.

Let’s dive deeper into understanding how we can heal and alchemize family and romantic relationships.

HEALING FAMILY & ROMANTIC RELATIONSHIPS

One of the most fascinating parts of my spiritual skills/Service Work is that I have the special ability to read the karmic ties between two people. You can be assured that almost always, those people in your life with whom you have had the most complicated relationships with (think family members, close friends and romantic lovers) are people that you’ve known before in past lives.

You see, souls like to ‘dress up’ and play different characters in each others’ plays. Your mother may have been your brother in another lifetime. Your husband may have been your daughter in another lifetime. Souls who know each other well often incarnate with each other over and over. These souls who you know well may be fellow souls in your Soul Group of twelve—or if not, then they likely are in your Monadic Group of 144 souls.

When two souls that know each other quite well dress up as different characters and have different relationships between each other in a series of lifetimes, karma is accumulated between the two souls.

In this context, think of karma as a log of every word spoken and experience shared between two souls when they are incarnated at the same time on the Earth. Your history with your current boyfriend, girlfriend, mom, or dad likely goes much deeper than just what you can remember from your current lifetime.

The natural trajectory of all things is balance and resolution (this is what Libra teaches)—and it is no different in this case. Each soul desires to resolve any past negative karma with other souls. Sometimes, it is planned for the resolution to happen in this lifetime, but sometimes not. Sometimes the resolution may be planned for a subsequent lifetime or for after one or both of the souls has left their physical body and is now existing in an afterlife realm.

As Lightworkers, we naturally want to resolve everything. We generally carry a deep-down aversion to people being mad at us or disappointed in us. Lightworkers tend to be martyrs and people pleasers rather than narcissists. However, although the natural trajectory of all karmic relationships is complete resolution, it may not always be the right time for that to happen. One of the most difficult lessons for many Lightworkers is to learn when to walk away, or to cut someone out of their lives.

Please receive these words clearly and with compassion: you are under no obligation to continue to receive someone’s abuse or negative energy simply because they are your boyfriend, girlfriend, husband, wife, son, daughter, mother, father, friend, or co-worker. You have complete free will to cut anyone out of your life if you feel so inclined.

I know this is not an easy thing to talk about, but you are likewise under no obligation to continue to be emotionally and energetically drained by someone, no matter your history with them. I realize that sometimes it is not practical or possible to completely cut someone out of your life—or you may not want to or be ready to–but in many instances the solution may be to keep some geographical distance between you and that person or to just interact with that person less often.

You don’t have to pick up the phone every time someone calls. You don’t have to respond to every text. You don’t have to hang out with a person every time they are feeling sad or want to complain about their boyfriend. You don’t have to tolerate being drained.

But there are of course relationships that you do want to keep. You don’t want to avoid the other person, but there are some difficulties that need to be worked through. For these kinds of relationships, we can harness all the Libra energy in the stars right now to harmonize.

Listening to someone else deeply and fully is one of the best gifts that you can give somebody. Practice listening without immediately inputting your opinion—try letting someone just let out everything they need to say, so they feel fully heard–and then speak your mind. Usually when people feel listened to, they’ll be more apt to listen better to what you have to say.

The Libra energies support a healthy back-and-forth dialogue. With Pluto’s exaltation, it’s a wonderful time to heal perceived issues of misuse of power between people (especially in families and partnerships); and to establish a more commensurate balance of power between you and others, that can cultivate a healthier relationship for both you and the other into the future.

As Libra rules the House of Partnerships (the 7th), it also very much has to do with romantic relationships. Unquestionably, the one factor that differentiates successful, harmonious, long-lasting romantic relationships from those that come and go with frustration, is effective communication.

When things are left unsaid between lovers—or when what is said is vague and unclear–it builds up tension in both parties. Even the most unintuitive person can sense that something is amiss when a lover isn’t telling them something important.

There are cases where people stay married for decades while still holding back from telling their partner their true feelings. Oftentimes, people get into a long-term relationship and things become familiar. They end up literally becoming afraid of what life would be like without their partner. They may wish their partner would radically change, or deep down they may wish that they had the courage to walk away, but they believe these endeavors would be futile.

Afraid to leave the marriage, they just bottle up the resentment inside. This type of resentment can even manifest itself as cancer years down the line if the feelings are not dealt with and the necessary difficult conversations are not had.

If we want to build 5th-Dimensional partnerships, the most important facet is open communication. When the communication is open from the start, it is a lot less likely that one partner will feel afraid to bring something up to the other later in the relationship.

If you’ve been in a relationship for awhile where the energy feels stagnant and you feel like there is a lot that has been left unsaid, one helpful tip is to plan an excursion out in public and plan to have a difficult conversation there (or alternatively just go on a walk with your partner).

Getting outside of your home (if you live together)–in which the energy has become stagnant–and into a fresh environment with fresh energy can also bring fresh energy to the way that you and your partner have become accustomed to communicating with one another.

Of course, the truth is sometimes relationships—whether romantic or familial—are irreparable, at least for the time being. Sometimes a relationship requires a period of separation before two people can really come back and repair what had been damaged.

Or sometimes a relationship needs to reach its conclusion, and the karmic issues will need to be worked out later when the two people are in a different stage in their life, or even in future lifetimes, the dream space, or afterlife realms.
