Metaphysical Books Recommended By Football QB Aaron Rodgers

The following are the Top 10 Books recommended by Green Bay Packer’s Quarterback, Aaron Rodgers.

The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho

The Alchemist is subtitled “A Fable About Following Your Dreams.” Fables are cautionary tales that have a point to make. The universal point this story makes is that everyone has a special destiny, and yet not everyone resolves to attain it because it takes hard work. Reaching one’s destiny requires leaving behind familiar surroundings. It also demands persistence, the ability to change when appropriate and the willingness to respond to omens that point the way.

Where Men Win Glory: The Odyssey of Pat Tillman by Jon Krakauer

Like the men whose epic stories Jon Krakauer has told in his previous bestsellers, Pat Tillman was an irrepressible individualist and iconoclast. In May 2002, Tillman walked away from his $3.6 million NFL contract to enlist in the United States Army. He was deeply troubled by 9/11, and he felt a strong moral obligation to join the fight against al-Qaeda and the Taliban. Two years later, he died on a desolate hillside in southeastern Afghanistan.

The Giver by Lois Lowry

The Giver is a 1993 American young adult dystopian novel written by Lois Lowry. It is set in a society which at first appears to be utopian but is revealed to be dystopian as the story progresses. The novel follows a 12-year-old boy named Jonas. The society has taken away pain and strife by converting to “Sameness”, a plan that has also eradicated emotional depth from their lives. Jonas is selected to inherit the position of Receiver of Memory, the person who stores all the past memories of the time before Sameness, as there may be times where one must draw upon the wisdom gained from history to aid the community’s decision making. Jonas struggles with concepts of all the new emotions and things introduced to him: whether they are inherently good, evil, or in between, and whether it is even possible to have one without the other. The Community lacks any color, memory, climate, or terrain, all in an effort to preserve structure, order, and a true sense of equality beyond personal individuality.

Be Here Now by Ram Dass

This book describes one man’s transformation upon his acceptance of the principles of Yoga & gives a modern restatement of the importance of the spiritual side of human nature. Illustrated.

The Four Agreements: A Practical Guide to Personal Freedom by Miguel Ruiz

In The Four Agreements, don Miguel Ruiz reveals the source of self-limiting beliefs that rob us of joy and create needless suffering. Based on ancient Toltec wisdom, the Four Agreements offer a powerful code of conduct that can rapidly transform our lives to a new experience of freedom, true happiness, and love. The Four Agreements are: Be Impeccable With Your Word, Don’t Take Anything Personally, Don’t Make Assumptions, Always Do Your Best.

You Are the Universe: Discovering Your Cosmic Self and Why It Matters by Deepak Chopra

What happens when modern science reaches a crucial turning point that challenges everything we know about reality? In this brilliant, timely, and practical work, Chopra and Kafatos tell us that we’ve reached just such a point. In the coming era, the universe will be completely redefined as a “human universe” radically unlike the cold, empty void where human life is barely a speck in the cosmos.

The Art of War by Sun Tzu

All managers need to think strategically, but few know any of the rules of strategy, except by hearsay. This book is designed to help all managers understand strategy and apply it to everyday decisions.

The Power of Now: A Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment by Eckhart Tolle

Eckhart Tolle’s message is simple: living in the now is the truest path to happiness and enlightenment. And while this message may not seem stunningly original or fresh, Tolle’s clear writing, supportive voice and enthusiasm make this an excellent manual for anyone who’s ever wondered what exactly “living in the now” means. Foremost, Tolle is a world-class teacher, able to explain complicated concepts in concrete language. More importantly, within a chapter of reading this book, readers are already holding the world in a different container–more conscious of how thoughts and emotions get in the way of their ability to live in genuine peace and happiness.

Outliers: The Story of Success by Malcolm Gladwell

In this stunning new book, Malcolm Gladwell takes us on an intellectual journey through the world of “outliers”–the best and the brightest, the most famous and the most successful. He asks the question: what makes high-achievers different?

His answer is that we pay too much attention to what successful people are like, and too little attention to where they are from: that is, their culture, their family, their generation, and the idiosyncratic experiences of their upbringing. Along the way he explains the secrets of software billionaires, what it takes to be a great soccer player, why Asians are good at math, and what made the Beatles the greatest rock band.

The Daily Stoic: 366 Meditations for Clarity, Effectiveness, and Serenity by Ryan Holiday

The Daily Stoic offers a daily devotional of Stoic insights and exercises, featuring all-new translations from Emperor Marcus Aurelius, playwright Seneca, and slave-turned-philosopher Epictetus as well as lesser-known luminaries like Zeno, Cleanthes, and Musonius Rufus. Every day of the year, you’ll find one of their pithy, powerful quotations as well as historical anecdotes, provocative commentary, and a helpful glossary of Greek terms. By following these teachings over the course of a year (and, indeed, for years to come), you’ll find the serenity, self-knowledge, and resilience you need to live well.

Rodgers, one of the few NFL players who did not get the jab, bravely stood his ground on why he’s refused to do so.  Rodgers explains his decision on The Pat McAfee Show:

On a follow-up interview, Rodgers gives his Top 10 Book list toward the end of the show:

I admire how Rodgers critically thinks and goes within for answers despite most of the National Football League (NFL) choosing to be jabbed. As of this date of publishing, there are no longitudinal studies on the jab from any of the manufacturers which means those who have taken the jab ARE the test subjects and Guinea pigs. Hypothetically, if people had numerous adverse reactions to the jab or in a worse case scenario, started dying from it,, it could cause a serious issue regarding national security if our armed forces were forces to take it, or in the healthcare system if all of our doctors and nurses were forced to take it.

Those who are refusing the jab aren’t necessarily against them. Many simply want to see positive, longitudinal test results from them.

Each month, Vaers reports on adverse reactions.  Here are the most recent numbers:

It’s been said that only 1/10th of the reactions are being recorded but I cannot verify this as of this date.

Aaron Rodgers is also one of the few athletes in the entire world who is brave enough to admit that he’s seen a UFO.  In my article, “NFL Pro Football Quarterback Aaron Rodgers UFO Sighting“, Rodgers said, “It was a large orange, left-to-right-moving object. Because of the overcast nature of the night and the snow, you couldn’t make out … it was behind the clouds we were seeing, but it was definitively large, moving from left to right. … It was me, Steve, and his brother that saw it.

“And it goes out of sight and we look at each other and go, ‘What in the f— was that?’”

Rodgers went on to say that he heard fighter jets to go along with the alarm.

“Now, if you know anything about UFO sightings or you’ve done research, you know that a lot of times two things are connected to UFO sightings. One is the presence of fighter jets. And two, there’s a lot of sightings around nuclear power plants. So to tie it all together, the alarm we heard from 30 miles out was a nuclear power plant that had an alarm that went off.”

Someday, I’d love to interview Aaron and get his thoughts on alien races, human origin, meditation, etc…  Rock star Sammy Hagar is another celebrity I’d love to interview.  Imagine interviewing them both at the same time?  They’re so much alike in so many different ways.
