Six Steps Towards The Development Of A Super Focused Mind

Staying focused in a world lost in materialistic pursuits can prove to be a tough mission. Your job and personal life are asking more from you now when there are so many elusive needs that the modern man wants to fulfill. The workplace has higher expectations from us than ever in order to keep up with the fast pace the Millennial generation is generating through its constant search of happiness. But, what we almost always forget is that all we need is hidden in ourselves, and nobody else can make us happy except ourselves.
The same goes with achieving a super focused mind. There are many smartphone applications that promise us a higher capacity of being productive. However, in the end, the users will lose more time configuring these applications than taking care of the tasks themselves. The key to acquiring a transcendent focus rest in ourselves only and we are going to see how we can uncover it.
1. Begin your career around your passions
This is actually a life goal many people have, and once achieved, you will become an accomplished man. However, we all make mistakes generated by fear or lack of patience, and not everyone sticks to the righteous path. Most importantly, as social beings, we can easily get trapped in the boxes built by a society that is limiting our potential. These boxes are made of rumors, misleading information, and selfish words that tell us that we have no chance to succeed in this world. This is where most people give in and are content just to have a job.
However, waking up every morning just for the sake of survival is not the right way to enjoy life. No matter how many productivity hacks you use on a daily basis, living a meaningless life will squash your efforts.
That is why it is important to make your passion a source of income. You can’t tell me that it is impossible now when the online medium has opened new and interesting jobs. You can make a living just by perfecting your drawing skills and create digital designs. It was unheard of before to travel the world, discover the most wonderful mysteries of life, and be paid for it.
To be able to keep your focus sharp requires love for what you do. There is no other driving factor that puts a smile on your face every morning, than passion.
2. Make your focus a habit
You must educate your power of focus the same way you got a diploma, and that is by training. If you are a kind of person that is easily distracted by the world around you, becoming a focus person overnight is not going to happen.
The key to success starts with a small step. Practice concentration exercises every day for 5 minutes. There are studies that show that our concentration span got smaller because reading has been replaced by e-reading. So, as an exercise to intensify your power of focus, read a 5-minute article from the beginning to the end. Don’t skip any word and focus on the importance of each word. This will train your focus as if it is a real muscle. By repeating this exercise every day, it is a matter of time before you will find it easy not to let anything distract you from your job.
3. Say “No!” to multitasking
Multitasking is something that many employers will ask from you, but that’s just a quicker way to ruin your power of concentration. After all, it doesn’t matter how you deal with your tasks, as long as they are accomplished.
Do one thing at a time. Interrupting your occupation for the sake of another or for the sake of a quick break will get you nowhere. The efforts you use to pause your current task just to move your concentration to another task will exhaust your power of concentration in a matter of minutes. So, avoid talking to your colleagues, answering your phones or checking your email while you are focused on a job.
4. Focus lasts as long as your energy
People who are boasting about how few hours they sleep are missing out on a huge source of concentration. The facts are actually simple. Can you imagine some way in which to keep your focus high while your eyes are suffering from exhaustion? I don’t think so. So, listen to your body when it tells you that you need to rest. You will never feel tired for nothing; there will always be a reason behind it.

More than this, your body is interconnected with your mind, and one cannot function properly without the other. Therefore, don’t seclude your body from your mind. Use your body as much as you use your mind, and take short breaks for a quick nap or fresh air to recharge your batteries.
5. Active lifestyle
As your mind and body are interconnected, taking breaks is not enough to regenerate your inner energy source. You need to train your body for a sharp mind. Find time to integrate a healthy training schedule in your life, and your resistance against exhaustion will increase dramatically.
High-intensity exercises are very useful to increase the level of dopamine and endorphins, which are biological elements that create a feeling of happiness and motivation. Sports will also boost your blood flow levels, allowing you to perform activities for a longer time without rest.
6. Be more selective with your social group
It is said that the people that we choose as friends are a reflection of our character. Whether they are influencing us or we just pick similar personalities with ours is not important. What matters is that as social beings we are easily influenced by people, especially the persons dear to us.
To keep your focus and ambitious high, you should surround yourself with people that can be seen as real life models. It is better to be the clumsiest person in the room, as long as you have something useful to learn from the others than to be the brightest and let your skills go blunt. Seek the people that can inspire you to greater things in life and conduct meaningful conversations with them. Furthermore, if you light the sparkle of competition with your friends, you will experience a super level of focus to keep up with the performance of the others.
Ultimately, your own thoughts create the shape of your reality, so it is of utmost important to always picture your mind like a super focused extension of your body. Eventually, your goals will be achieved.
