The sequel to The Secret, “The Power“
Since the 1950’s, the concept of the law of attraction gained renewed exposure with the release of the film The Secret (2006) which was then developed into a book of the same title in 2007. The movie and book gained widespread media coverage. This was followed by a sequel, The Power in 2010 that talks about the law of attraction being the law of love.
Proponents believe that the law of attraction is always in operation and that it brings to each person the conditions and experiences that they predominantly think about, or which they desire or expect.
What The Secret is telling us is nothing recent. History is literally littered with people trying to tell us “The True Secret” yet this knowledge was continuously suppressed from us.
The Law of Attraction is not a recent revelation but a timeless principle deeply rooted in history. It is not merely a modern concept from “The Secret” but has been woven into the fabric of human understanding for generations. In the mid-1800s, Phineas Quimby set the stage for the exploration of mind over body, triggering the birth of the New Thought movement. As we ride the dusty trails of history, we encounter figures like Andrew Jackson Davis, Ralph Waldo Trine, Napolean Hill, and Bob Proctor… each contributing to the understanding of the Law of Attraction in their own unique ways.
