Where Do You Invest Your Energy?

Investing energy

The only things we can rely on are those things that are consistent. The only thing that is consistent is that which is real. The only thing that is real is that which never changes through eternity.

Do fortunes change? Hate? Fear? Love conditioned on love in return? All of these things change, not only when measured by eternity, but when measured by our own lifetime! What then, is always consistent, never changing and therefore real?

Only the unconditional, selfless Love that flows from Source and through each of us. The Love and Light that is who we are is the only thing that will never change because it is unconditional. It is based on nothing outside itself and is always there. Through the noise of our conscious lives, our ego can and will overlook the Divine’s existence, but it is always there, waiting at your core to give you the Joy and Peace that only unconditional Love can provide.

We are loved, no matter what we do, who we think we are or where we think we may be. Let that sink in for a few minutes. We are all loved, each and every one of us, no matter what.

You can feel the Love if you quiet you mind and ask. On or off the mat, it is always there. There is no guilt, no payment for past sins, no judgment, only complete and total Love, constant and unconditional. I was reminded of this absolute Truth after our New Year’s day yoga class last week. One of our regulars came up to me and gave me a hug. He is not one that typically gives hugs at the studio.

It was one of those real hugs, for no particular reason other than to send Love and Light. With that simple hug, he told me that I was loved. No condition attached. It was a special gift that he freely gave to me.

The simple act of loving without condition is all that is really lacking in this world. Add unconditional Love and everything else falls into place. Once you realize this, why would you invest your energy, your time, yourself in anything else? The only thing worthy of your complete attention is that which can never change, can never disappoint, can never leave you lacking – the unconditional Love and Joy that is who you truly are.

We are all Holy Children of the Creator. Unconditional Love is who we are. Nothing else is real. Remember this absolute Truth as you continue your journey Home.

Now we are doing yoga…

10 trivia facts about yoga

The word “yoga” comes from the Sanskrit root “yuj,” which means “to yoke” or “to unite.” It refers to the practice of connecting the mind, body, and spirit.

Yoga originated in ancient India over 5,000 years ago and has been practiced ever since.

The father of modern yoga is widely considered to be T. Krishnamacharya, who developed the modern style of Hatha yoga in the early 20th century.

There are many different styles of yoga, including Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Bikram, and Kundalini, among others.

The practice of yoga involves performing physical postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), and meditation to improve health and wellbeing.

The Lotus position, also known as Padmasana, is one of the most recognized yoga poses. It involves sitting cross-legged with the feet placed on opposite thighs.

The practice of yoga is said to have many health benefits, including reducing stress, improving flexibility and balance, and promoting overall wellbeing.

Yoga is not a religion, but it is often associated with spiritual practice and can be practiced by people of all faiths.

The International Day of Yoga is celebrated annually on June 21st, which is also the summer solstice, to promote awareness and encourage the practice of yoga around the world.

The practice of yoga has become increasingly popular in the Western world in recent decades, with millions of people practicing it regularly as a form of exercise and stress relief.
