Why People Yell At Each Other When They’re Angry

Do you know why people yell at each other when they’re angry?
A Wise Hindu who was visiting the Ganges to take a bath noticed a group of people screaming in anger shouting all together and one after another. He turned to his disciples, smiled and asked:
“Do you know why people yell at each other when they’re angry?”
The disciples thought about it for a while and one of them said, “It’s because we lose our calm that we scream.
“But why are you yelling when the other person is right next to you?”, asked the wise man. “Could you not just as well tell him what you have to say in a softer way?”
When none of the disciples’s answers were sufficiently satisfactory for the wise, he finally explained, “When two people are angry at each other, their hearts are separated by a great distance. To Cover this distance, they must scream, because otherwise they are unable to hear each other. The more angry they are and the more they need to scream hard to hear each other to get to cover this great distance. What happens when two people fall in love? They don’t yell at each other, but they talk slowly because their hearts are very close. The distance between them is either non-existent or very low.”
The wiseman continued, “When they love each other more, what happens? They don’t talk, they whisper and get even more proximity and more love. Finally comes a moment when they don’t even need to whisper anymore, they only look at each other and understand each other.”
Then he looked at his disciples and said, “So when you talk to each other, don’t let your hearts get away. Don’t say the words that keep you away, or a day will come when the distance will be so great that you won’t find the way back.”
