David Bowie: The Next Stage Of Evolution

As an avid David Bowie fan, I find many of his lyrics very intriguing. For example, in the song, “Five Years,” Bowie paints a scenario of what it would be like knowing there were only 5 years left to live on this planet. The song, “Life On Mars” portrays the disillusionment of reality and as an option, ponders whether life on Mars would be any better than this current reality.

What is most intriguing about Bowie’s songwriting ability is how he envisioned extraterrestrials along with a spiritual evolution for humanity.

Bowie went on to write a conceptual album called Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars, where the album tells the story of how Bowie’s alter ego, Ziggy Stardust, is a rock star who acts as a messenger for extraterrestrial beings. (1)

The song, Changes, is described as, “Modern Kids as a New Race” in the book, David Bowie: An illustrated record by Roy Carr and Charles Shaar Murray. (2) This was the final song David Bowie sang in his last full concert.

Bowie’s song Starman talks about an extraterrestrial encounter:

There’s a starman waiting in the sky
He’d like to come and meet us
But he thinks he’d blow our minds
There’s a starman waiting in the sky
He’s told us not to blow it
‘Cause he knows it’s all worthwhile

But one David Bowie song, in particular, caught my attention. Oh! You Pretty Things tells a story of a coming race of beings described as the next stage of human evolution called, H0m0 Superior.

An excerpt from David Bowie – The Man Who Changed the World stated:

He (Bowie) had read the book, The Coming Race by Edward Bulwer-Lytton. It was a story about a future race, where the virgin females had circles on their foreheads (like Ziggy Stardust would have later on). The book inspired him to write ‘Oh! You Pretty Things’. (3,4)

The “circles on their foreheads” most likely depicted the pineal gland and/or perhaps an awakened 3rd eye.

According to the book Bowie: An illustrated Record by Roy Carr and Charles Shaar Murray, this song heralds “the impending obsolescence of the human race in favor of an alliance between arriving aliens and the youth of the present society.” All Music Guide on the other hand regards this as more of a Nietzschean lyric “invoking concepts of the ‘h0m0 superior.'” (5,6)

If you look at the stages of human evolution, the preceding race to our current H0mosapien was H0mofloresiensis (8), which was eliminated approximately 12,000 years ago. It’s probably not a coincidence that this approximate time period aligns with the precession of the equinoxes and the end of Atlantis.

Hom0sapiens have been here from about 250,000 years ago until present time, somehow escaping the demise of Atlantis and the end of the previous known lineage of mankind.

One must ask, “What triggers each new stage of evolution?”

Is it possible that each stage has its own time period in accordance to astrological cycles or specific period of time?

Are there unknown factors or as I call them, “Cosmic Wildcards” that help us propel into the next stage of evolution?

Is it possible that it’s a combination of various alignments along with an awakening number of people that creates a critical mass that triggers a 100th monkey effect within our DNA?

With Bowie’s fascination of extraterrestrials, life on other planets, and the evolution of mankind, one must ponder what planet HE came from!
