My Friends & Family Don't Understand My Awakening

Have you ever tried to share something that completely changed your life, only to watch the person across from you stare back blankly? Maybe it was something about energy, vibration, past lives, or the simulation we call reality. And instead of curiosity, you got a polite subject change., or worse, concern for your mental health.

If that sounds familiar, you are absolutely not alone! In fact, this might be one of the most universal experiences of the spiritual awakening journey. And nobody really warns you about it.

THE LONELINESS NOBODY TALKS ABOUT

When you begin to awaken, something shifts inside you that is difficult to put into words. The world starts to look different. The things that used to matter, such as gossip, status, keeping up with the news cycle, start to feel empty. And the things that now light you up, like consciousness, synchronicities, and the nature of reality, aren’t exactly dinner table conversation material for most people.

What makes this especially painful is that it often hits closest to home. It’s not strangers who don’t get it. It’s your mom, your best friend from grade school, your partner. The people you love most are sometimes the ones who look at you like you’ve joined a cult.

That disconnect can feel incredibly isolating. And for a while, many of us go quiet. We tuck our beliefs away to preserve the peace, feeling like we’re living a double life.

WHY THIS HAPPENS: THE SPIRITUAL PERSPECTIVE

Here’s what you need to know and understand: not everyone incarnated here to awaken in this lifetime. Some souls chose a different curriculum for this incarnationm and that’s not a judgment… it’s just the nature of a reality built on free will and individual soul progression.

Think back to when you were still fully asleep. What if someone have handed you a book about the Law of Attraction or the holographic universe and expected you to completely understand them? Would you? Probably not. Why? Because you weren’t ready at that moment in space and time. The same is true for the people around you now. Their time may come and it may not. But it’s not your job to force open a door that isn’t ready to open.

There’s also something to consider regarding your own personal vibrational resonance. As you raise your frequency, you naturally begin to drift from people and environments that no longer match where you are, and while this may seem like t abandonment, it’s actually an energetic alignment. The universe is basically reorganizing your relationships to support your growth.

PRACTICAL HELP!

So what do you actually do when the people you love just don’t get it? Here’s what I’ve found that helps:

Stop trying to convince people. Seriously. The more you push, the more resistance you create. Plant a seed if the moment feels right, then let it go. Your job is to embody the energy, not to recruit for it.

Find your tribe. The internet has made this easier than ever. Communities like In5D exist precisely because millions of people are going through exactly what you’re going through. You don’t have to white-knuckle this journey alone.

Keep showing up with love. You can have deep, meaningful relationships with people who don’t share your beliefs. Lead with love and common ground. You don’t have to talk about the fifth dimension at every family dinner.

Be patient with them and with yourself. Awakening is not a race. Some people in your life may surprise you down the road. An off-handed comment you made years ago might be the thing that cracks someone open when they’re finally ready.

Trust ALL paths. The relationships that are meant to grow with you will. The ones that can’t sustain your expansion will naturally fall away. And that’s okay. It doesn’t mean something went wrong. It actually means something went RIGHT!

YOU ARE NOT BROKEN. YOU ARE BECOMING.

The hardest part of waking up is realizing that you can’t bring everyone with you, at least not on your timeline. And for a while, that grief will hit you hard. Grieving relationships that have changed, or a version of yourself that fit more neatly into the world, is a legitimate part of the process.

Reason, Season, or Lifetime

People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime. When you figure out which one it is, you will know what to do for each person.

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty; to provide you with guidance and support; to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend, and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be.

Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled; their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has come to share, grow or learn. They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it. It is real. But only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons; things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person, and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life. It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

But here’s the thing: while you were never supposed to feel fully at home here., please rmemeber that you came here to help shift it, similar to what Dolores Cannon calls, “Volunteer Souls“.

So, the next time someone looks at you with stink-eye for talking about consciousness or energy or the great awakening, simply smile. You don’t need their validation. You never did.
