CLAIRVOYANCE – Developing Your Spiritual Spark

The term Clairvoyance comes from the French ‘clair’ meaning “clear” and ‘voyance’ meaning ‘vision’. It is the ability to gain information about an object, person, location, or physical event through extrasensory perception.
Most people sense passed souls before they begin to see them. They will send you signs such as noises (hearing someone call your name, hearing a knock but no one is there, hearing something fall, etc.), movement (an item having moved where you had it last, lights flickering, seeing a flash of light, etc.) and by symbols (butterflies, dragonflies, birds, special songs, etc.).
Passed souls can visit us both in our dreams while we sleep as well as while we are awake. Every person has the natural gift of clairvoyance, but most do not know how to develop their gift or what to make of it. The most important task it to trust yourself! You aren’t imagining it.
Some of the most common ways that indicate that passed spirits are near:
1. Feeling a dense air or seeing a shape or form move across the room. This tends to work best in a dimly lit room that our eyes can relax and see the forms easily. It may manifest as a form or you might simply feel a dense flow of air through the room or even a shadow (although shadows are usually very quick and are often seen in a flash). You can even ask a loved one to manifest themself. They can always hear us call for them.
2. A spark of light. This can simply be a flicker of light at the corner of your eye, a light flickering in your home, or a spark of light in your line of sight. I remember after my father passed, my mother kept asking me to check her light in the living room where my father sat. I changed the bulb and she even had the electric company come see why her light would flicker in the evening! The energy company found nothing wrong. I believe it was my father reaching out to my mother.
3. Temperature changes. A chill in a warm room, feeling a breeze when there is no window open, or an area of a room that feels colder when you walk through it. Passed souls are energy, and when they come close to our energy field we sense the temperature change due to the fact that we are warm blooded.
Visualization Technique
You can also work on your visualization techniques, which will help strengthen your clairvoyance ability. There are so many activities that you can use to do this, here are a few:

- During meditation see yourself going into a room; notice what color the walls are, the handle on the door, the detail of the lights, etc. Each time try to visualize more detail until you can see everything vividly.
- Before going to sleep, visualize yourself calling to a passed loved one asking to meet you. Create “your special place” vividly seeing every detail of where you are. I do this with my daughter in the post, Our Special Place. And, by far, this is my favorite technique.
- While awake, relax your eyes and body and visualize seeing an object, place or someone in front of you. This one takes a lot of repetition since there are so many distractions but with practice you can begin to see what you are visualizing clearly.
Reaching the other side takes both practice and patience. Most important is clearing your mind and letting the passed souls know that it is okay for them to appear. Always remember to protect yourself by surrounding yourself in white light. Try clearing your aura with White Sage or Tibetan Incense and asking your spirit guides to protect you. There’s no reason to be afraid- your guides will be with you and nothing can harm you, so it can’t hurt to try it out!
Don’t be discouraged if visualization is difficult at first. Just like any skill, clairvoyance takes practice and patience. Keep trying!
About the Author: Hello, my name is Ginny, author at MetaMissy.com. I am originally from Long Island, NY but now live in beautiful Florida. I am a Registered Nurse, a healer by nature. Having worked in trauma, I have been with those at the time of passing as well as given comfort to their families. As a child and teen I exhibited special gifts but they faded as my life journey went to raising a family and having a career. It wasn’t until my Grandmother, and then Father, passed that I yearned to be able to see and speak to them to ensure they were at peace and to tell them the things that I wished I had when they were here on Earth. On October 10, 2016, I tragically lost my youngest daughter, Christina. This led me to ‘go down the rabbit hole’ with my grief, pain, and the empty place in my heart only Christina could fill. The note that I laid with her was “You will never be alone as at the time of your death a piece of my heart died with you.” Many of my spiritual friends began to reach out to me, I began to look for signs she was still here with us, and channeled my energy to go back in time to renew my gifts so that I could not only speak with Christina, as I had with my other passed love ones, but to also learn more about her new journey. Christina’s and my journey are just beginning and I hope to share not only my journey with her but how you too can connect with your loved one.
